What could they possibly even disagree about? It's a lot of words but it doesn't say what their beef is in particular. By shifting it to the Department of Agriculture it seems like they're listening to agri-business owners saying, "But Black Dynamite, I sell drugs to the community".

My understanding is that desantis at one point cracked down too hard on migrants, either successfully kicking them out or simply scaring them off to work elsewhere, resulting in Florida farms being unable to find enough cheap labor to harvest a lot of their fruit crops that year. This isn't stated to be in response to that but it seems like the obvious subtext

The state GOP wants to grandstand and fearmonger about immigration but they don't want to actually get rid of the people harvesting the crops, just make their conditions as deplorable as possible. Idk if DeSantis is just dumb or a true believer or what.
