Never forget the wealthy would happily fly an untested, unverified rocket directly into your house, killing you and your family generations over and then would go on TV and blame you for it.

they all literally want to get to act like Stockton Rush and his amazing imploding submersible company.

[-] VILenin@hexbear.net 13 points 1 month ago

If they want to act like him they should also end like him.

[-] Llituro@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago

my-hero should personally test every single rocket, i think.

[-] heggs_bayer@hexbear.net 30 points 1 month ago

If Musk wants to launch rockets so badly, we should tie him to a rocket and fire him at Tel Aviv.

[-] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 28 points 1 month ago

Fuck the fish we've got rockets to launch to-the-moon

it's honestly overwhelming sometimes. i need to create a keyword cheat sheet because you only get a quick menu for 20 (?) of your most frequently used ones

not a complaint though you can never have enough

talked to a couple who has one of the first year Teslas, the battery has lost a good portion of its range capacity and they are worried they won't be able to resell it for much

This is going to be a problem with all electric vehicles, which makes it that much worse that we refuse to make anything affordable and we’ve essentially banned China from selling theirs here.

I love the hot-swap design where the batteries are modular and replaceable. "charging" is swapping your battery for a fully charged one. I read somewhere that some cities in China have been using this for transit buses

[-] spectre@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago

They have it for EVs as well

[-] miz@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago

I've heard it's widespread for scooters and ebikes as well

it's in this video somebody posted here on Hexbear over the summer. these American dudes visited China and had their minds absolutely blown.

my husband and I just writhed in envy the whole time we watched it.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

Are they one of those who bought a Tesla as "an investment?" If so: lol. lmao, even.

There was that one bazinga brain who sold a bunch of his stuff and bought a cybertruck for that reason, then had all the problems cybertrucks have had. Still loves the truck though.

[-] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 26 points 1 month ago

I don't think it was ever about protecting the environment with the electric cars, more about owning the libs via king bazinga's racism.

[-] cheese@hexbear.net 24 points 1 month ago

i'm crying who came up with King Bazinga i-cant

[-] doublepepperoni@hexbear.net 19 points 1 month ago

I wish Trump loses just because it would annoy Muskrat

[-] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 18 points 1 month ago

It just makes it all the more puzzling why tf he wanted to be the Tesla guy at all? Shouldn’t someone like Elon Musk be disgusted at EVs because they don’t do emissions (and that’s uncool!)

[-] Utter_Karate@hexbear.net 17 points 1 month ago

I do not think that this man should have a Fish license. I also do not think he should have a Meat license, a Vegetable license, a Fruit license or any alternative way to get nutrition.

[-] Adkml@hexbear.net 15 points 1 month ago

Another great example of how if somebodynis complaining about "ridiculous regualtions" it's because they want to break those regulations.

"Why the fuck do I need a permit from the fish people" - person who keeps shooting exploding rockets full of rocket fuel into the gulf of Mexico

[-] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago

Everyone’s all “law and order” until we come across one of the few remaining laws that apply to elitist white men. Suddenly it’s all “legality =/= morality”

capitalist coping "The bad evil regulations are why we still don't have the bazinga Mhurs rockets"
