Two races? In one person?!
Wut what whaaaaa?!
Wait until they learn about Taco Bell Pizza Huts
Remember when Italians were a boogyman race?
Racists today are just lazy, relying on skin color to discriminate. Back in the day the Irish weren't "white". The IRISH!
Bless Jon Stewart.
Trump: “A Black job is anybody that has a job,” Trump said. “That’s what it is. Anybody that has a job.”
And Biden didn't make sense?
He's trying to deal with his own previous statement, which implied that Blacks can only aspire to holding some kinds of jobs.
I'm familiar with him saying that before. I was surprised he hadn't come up with an answer to the "what are black jobs" question since it has been all over the media in response to his prior claim. But I guess he's too lazy or stupid to think ahead like that.
My comment was more directed at his nonsensical answer. First, if a black job is any job, then why specify it? Second, how can the answer to "what is a black job" be that it is a person?
Trump isn't used to fact checking, or people having valid clarification questions. His whole thing is being loud and repeating talking points so people agree with him.
Has anyone commented just how plain weird this guy is? I mean don't get me wrong, he's old, he's tremendously old, but he's also just SO weird, right?
This guy, and let me tell you some people really say it, is the absolute, no really he is and I'm telling you the truth, you wouldn't believe it, they say he is weird and nobody else is weirder.
Tears in their eyes, they come to me and they say, "sir, oh sir" and did I mention these are BIG men okay, motorcycle men, crying, and they've never cried before because they are so tough and so big, okay? So they say to me, they say, "sir! You're weird and old, sir" and it's true okay, like you've never seen. [Fart]
Well he always talks about how much he wants to bang his daughter so yeah, he's weird
That interview was uncomfortable to watch.
He literally set the tone right from the start of the interview. "You are (women, black, minorities, insert slur of choice here), and you are to be put in your place. I am better than you. I am above you. And I will treat you accordingly."
And he did that multiple times through the interview. When talking about Harris being a "DEI Hire", not only did his answer seem to side with racists, but he attacked the interviewer. When being asked one question he didn't like, he responded by randomly attacking one of the other interviewers about absolutely nothing in particular. Even when one of them started kowtowing to him, he still attacked her over random "equipment issues" that she had nothing to do with. When trying to get the interview back on track, he snapped at one and told her no, he'll do what he wants.
And one of the things that I noticed that made me particularly uneasy. At the end of the interview, one of the interviewers tried to ask about Project 2025, only to immediately be cut off by another interviewer "per the Trump team." There could be a scheduling reason if they ran out of time, but go back and watch it. It's at the very end. It gives off the impression that under absolutely no circumstances was Project 2025 to be discussed, based on Trump's demands. That's very unsettling.
And honestly, I don't even think this was ever supposed to even appeal to black voters. I can't see a single minority watching that interview and saying "Yup, that's my guy!". But think of the message it does send. It's telling the people that he's relying on most that "Watch me put these women in their place, just like I'll put the in their place. This time, I will hurt the right people!" (Edit: this seems to be the prevailing opinion; Al Sharpton among others is saying that the real purpose was to show the MAGA base that he's willing to bring the racism to "them" on their own turf, in order to throw some red meat their way and make sure they stay in line.)
It's beyond even racism. For someone have the utter mayonnaise to gatekeep someone's inclusion in an identity that you're entirely outside of, that sense of entitlement has to come from somewhere. A sense of superiority, perhaps. Supremacy even.
And if we know anything about Donald at this point, it's that he has mayonnaise pumpining through his very veins.
He’s a creep, he’s a weirdo
What the hell is he doing here?
He don't belong here.
Asked what he meant when he once said immigrants were taking “Black jobs,” he said: “A Black job is anybody who has a job.”
that's our stable genius right there 😆
I have a job so my pasty ass is black now apparently
Oh so you suddenly turned black just like Kamala
Yeah, but only when it's convenient. Like what the MAGA ass hats are saying about Kamala.
When he blamed the journalist for equipment problems. Pointed at her and goes "this woman". Jesus.
yeah, audio equipment... 😂
"About 45 minutes before Trump took the stage, the former president pushed back on NABJ staffers who wanted to live fact check the event, according to a person familiar with the planning. The board pushed back against the last minute demand. When Trump took the stage, he said the delay was due to NABJ’s audio issues."
Reminder to vote, and get involved. Make sure his blant racism doesn't win at the polls
Wait until his numbers go down even more. Then you'll see racist Don.
I never thought I'd see the day, that he is on the backfoot. Kamala has him shook.
In the span of a week I've gone from doom scrolling to excitement. I hope the Dems don't fuck it up.
While I do agree I also want to make it clear I'm not expecting a revolution if Kamala is elected. I'm excited for the chance to get off the back foot and hope our country can start making progress again. It may be cynical, but I pretty much expect second term Obama again.
For more information on what I'm talking about check out FD Signifier's video about Kamala. I don't agree with everything he said, but he has good points.
I totally agree. I remember all those years ago and Kamala was too conservative for me, but after nearly 10 years of this I am humbled. She will be status quo leaning towards green policies, but not a democratic socialist revolutionary. I'm still fucking excited! Maybe the most I have been since I could vote.
The fact that so many people love this weird dumbass grandpa... 🤦♂️
Chef's kiss. No notes. Wouldn't have had it go any other way.
Next to watching maralago burn down I'm not sure what else could satiate the desire to see him get his returned.
I mean, to be fair, his base probably came watching him do it.
He enjoys it and it reassures the Republican base he's their GodEmperorDaddu or whatever they're calling him this week. The out in the open, practiced, enthusiastic hatred is what made him their guy to begin with.
He had to hire extras to attend his rallies in 2016 until he opined about wishing Republicans could "beat the shit" out of their political enemies, that moment basically stole the entire Republican party out from under their establishment that was just about manipulating Republicans and their hatreds using dog whistles for corporate profit.
But will it change anything?
It means a bunch of people won't vote for Trump; he had been trying to peel off some of the Black vote. This means he can't
