Damn everything from the global pedo ring to the Biden crime family thing really is projection isn't it...

Only way to get through to conservatives tends to be through their wallets. Unfortunately we all must suffer because of this but so be it...

This is incorrect as others pointed out. A phone is not a body cam.

They released the phone cam, which they used to try to justify his actions with. A body cam wouldn't have because it would've showed he was fucking hit and it would've shown him shooting Renee in the face to the world.

The reason they don't use body cams is because the unspoken word is, "show what you want people to see; throw the phone down when you don't want them to see it."

The entire point of a body cam is to always film.

(not a centrist Dem, btw)

Extremely tragic, though it should be pointed out that Spain and Europe in general has far, far less traffic-related deaths, even in terms of individual automobiles let alone the much safer rail-based mode of transportation.

Personally I'm partial to believing that capitalism is like a nuclear reactor; can be good, can be bad. Needs sophisticated control rods to maintain stability and prevent it from getting out of control.

Nordic model nations in a nutshell who are realized not idealized models for some of the happiest and most stable nations on the world.

Oh 100% agreed. Also no surprise that the likes of Musk and Russia have heavily promoted, defended, and relied upon encrypted communications like Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, etc.

My conspiracy theory is Rand Paul delivered a key to Putin when he flew to Moscow.

Easier to take bribes with crypto. I still stand by this being a huge factor in reduced accountability and accelerating corruption.

Hey just please confirm you acknowledge the simple fact that Russia is the aggressor in Ukraine!

Edit: Oof. Deafening silence. Gave themselves away.

Using them as actual slaves. This guy is sick.

Does your sister condone this or is she complaining to you about it? Take video of these threats, consider sendimg them to ProPublica or AP.

Ah, and therein lies the problem ladies & gentlemen.

  • Ad Ignorantiam fallacy states otherwise.

  • "Fake" is itself an assertion requiring evidence, independent from stating neutrality, e.g., "We don't know whether it is true or not."

  • Also, circular-reasoning fallacy: Who says they're extraordinary claims within the context of what we already know?

Unverified? Yes. Corroborating some of what we already know? Also yes.

Proven fake? Definitely not. That is unless you are to believe the word of Republicans and Trump.

There may be an age or generational explanation for this, but I especially notice this behavior on Reddit while not nearly as much here on Lemmy (though maybe that's also a mater of implementation).

It seems many are so quick to assert overly-confident positions, but then hit-and-run with some smarmy remark at even the slightest challenge, then quickly block. Like, not even crazy stuff. Just basic, civil disagreements. I can pretty well predict when it will happen, and it always feels like such a petty ego-sparing fingers-in-ears denial thing to do, and to me if anything shows they were not very confident in their views being challenged.

I think I've only blocked a handful of people over a decade who were actively spamming, stalking, or spewing extremely hateful rhetoric and I just reported them simultaneously. You have to cross a pretty extreme and irrational line for me to do that.

The reason I ask is to see if I'm missing something; to better understand the mindset of those who do.

I recall reading about what I thought was an open source peer-to-peer https system intended to link neighborhood routers and relay nodes to other cities via satellite. I can't seem to find the one I'm thinking of.

I guess I'm curious about generations (namely GenZ and Alpha) who didn't live in a pre-Internet time. Like,

  • How was the concept first explained to you, or when did it click?
  • Do you understand how insane it is to have the aggregate of all human knowledge — the only comparable thing once being a physical library or university — one search away? That it's absolutely insane you can engage in a real-time conversation with someone on the opposite side of the world? That you can find niche communities in an instant?
  • Were your parents super strict about internet usage? How quickly did you find workarounds?

June 28 (Reuters) - A group of U.S. voters who were unable to choose between Joe Biden and Donald Trump before Thursday's presidential debate delivered their verdicts after the contest and it was almost universally bad news for Biden.

Of the 13 "undecideds" who spoke to Reuters, 10 described the 81-year-old Democratic president's performance against Republican candidate Trump collectively as feeble, befuddled, embarrassing and difficult to watch.

All undecided voters in a U.S. swing states focus group hosted by pollster Frank Luntz said President Biden should be replaced as the Democratic nominee after watching his first presidential debate against former President Trump.

Lord Cameron said while he would not support a major ground offensive in the Gazan city of Rafah, the UK would not copy US plans to stop some arms sales.

He said the UK supplies just 1% of Israel's weapons and warned Israel must do more to protect civilians and allow humanitarian aid through.

They must oblige within a certain time frame — even if your account has been suspended and I believe even if you've deleted your account. Curiously, this might be one effective way to protest. Golly I wonder what would happen if many people requested such reports simultaneously. It seems these must be processed manually by admins.

As a bonus, it's nice because all your comments and messages are searchable.
