Much of the myth of the ritual hagiography of the 1989 protests in Western media revolves around the absurd notion that 10,000 people were shot, run over by tanks, and their remains hosed down sewer grates in the square. No evidence has ever been produced for this.

They will condemn China for it again this year on June 4th, as they do every year, even as their beknighted liberal allies gleefully do this and worse, even as the whole world watches their Dirlewanger-level atrocities live and in 4k. The difference between these two images is the difference between a socialist society forced into self defense and one built on settler colonial thuggery.
