You can call them ignorant but probably shouldn't use that word.
It has been used as a pejorative so much that it's no longer an accepted medical term.
what if i want to take it back, for medicine? is it possible to build a political platform on this sole issue? probably not, but that's not a reason not to try .
Republicans have already made supporting hate speech part of their platform, so they'd probably be receptive to it if you claim that it's woke to discourage the word's usage.
