I'm 26 now and I'm constantly dumbfounded at the sheer unwillingness of my peers and the older generations to truly listen to their political opponents.
When I was a teen I was listening to Steven Crowder, Sargon of Akkad, etc. but I at least eventually got around to giving people like Anita Sarkesian and Lacy Green a chance. It only took about a year to realize that they weren't saying anything to warrant the right pissing their panties as hard as they were. It also took significantly less time than that to realize that people like Steven and Sargon were assholes. AND I WAS A TEEN.
That kinda shit makes it hard not to be pessimistic. I can at least hope that the generations after mine won't contract their willful ignorance, and this BS will die with my generation.

Also, for context: Valve recently dropped the SDK that TF2 creators need for creating mods and stuff, basically putting the tools in our hands to deal with the issues they've been neglecting for all these years.
