Is there even a fight anymore, or is it just back to wholesale slaughter of one side by the other?

Mostly slaughter. My understanding is that Hamas is largely waiting in the tunnels for the IDF to come inside the fence. I did see something about them making an attack on a base outside Gaza by sea with mortar support though.
