Nobody has the stones to do anything about it

[–] red_bull_of_juarez@lemmy.dbzer0.com 30 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Even Death is like "Nah, thanks"

[–] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 19 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Think of it from Death's point of view.

He spares this one guy for a while, and in return, that one guy does his job for him, for free.

death took the last pope , and is trying to take the current one too.

[–] Arancello@aussie.zone 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The french are protesting against education funding. And americans wont get off the couch to rescue their own country.

[–] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 24 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Mobs are easier to form when your entire country is the size of a single US state and everyone who wants to participate in the country is within a day of driving to the same location. Your people aren't less willing to be fucked over by the government. It's just easier for the small percentage of you who will riot to meet up.

[–] dalekcaan@feddit.nl 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

And most countries don't have a police force more heavily armed than a small country's military.

[–] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 3 days ago

Decades of no accountability and poor hiring practices have made the police thugs against their citizen peers. Funded by the have nots, while protecting the haves and themselves.

We were never found

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Hey, they tried. Twice. And once legally, not physically.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Eh. Honestly, I think it’s pretty likely both incidents in which someone got “close” were probably false-flags. Orangeboi is a complete coward. I genuinely think he’d piss his pants and run away screaming if it was a real attempt on his life. There are a number of very suspicious points to the rally event in particular.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

So this coward you speak of agreed to allow a teenager to fire a rifle at him from 350'? And Joe Biden's USSS, who he had purged of MAGA agents, and Joe Biden's FBI (who agreed Trump was dinged by a rifle round or fragment) were in on it?

Watch him when they pull him up seconds after we hear the "all clear". He is fucking stunned. Couple of photographers angle in for a shot (lemmy tells they were in on it as well), Trump sees the first thing he understands, "Cameras on ME!", and does the fist pump.

And all those USSS agents who were demoted or fired, and both shooters, all agreed to upend their careers and lives for...?

Or we could just admit that a couple of dudes shot their shot at the most reviled man in America, possibly and all-time hatred in American politics.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

One guy did, but he didn't practice enough first.

[–] bertlewirth@lemy.lol 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

That was staged. So. Fucking. Staged.

Yeah, i am extremely suspicious that the two incidents where people got the closest were completely fabricated false flags. The rally one in particular was so, so sketchy, and so many details simply do not make sense at all.

[–] Seleni@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Sure they do! They just have shitty aim is all

Nah, the rally one was definitely staged. There are a shitload of details that absolutely do not add up.

[–] hayvan@piefed.world 22 points 3 days ago (1 children)

That's irrelevant. Why is he still president should be the question.

[–] eurodyne@piefed.world 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Once he’s dead, tell me it’s irrelevant

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 3 days ago (3 children)

If he dies in office, Just Defiled a couch Vance and Peter Fucking Thiel take over.

[–] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (3 children)

Do not let perfection be the enemy of good.

Vance does not have any of the charisma nor the following that Trump has. His ability to coalesce a ruling party is low. It's why Trump is still in power.

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The bigger issue as I see it is that Trump wants to rule by charisma first. I don't think Vance particularly gives a shit if people curse his name - meaning that, at the first sign of things getting out of hand, I think he's more willing to hit the "start killing protestors until the streets are red" button.

Vance has no charisma and he knows it. He is an empty vessel made by Peter Thiel and others.

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Vance is a proxy for Thiel

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

Yep! Add in that what's left of MAGA will viciously turn on Vance for all the things they could bring themselves to pin on Trump. Vance'll be a copegoat.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

With no charisma or leverage to get anything extreme done. It isn't their daughter in law that controls the GOP and is able to fund primary challengers.

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (2 children)

You think they’d impeach the younger smarter asshole who wants to hurt their enemies?

No fucking way. The Republicans want this. Trump is only useful for his distraction otherwise they would have stopped musk.

Plus it gives them an incumbent to run in 2028 (if they aren’t already planning to run Trumps corpse again).

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They'd be morons to run Vance in 2028. As sitting VP he can't fill a high school auditorium.

[–] sys110x@aussie.zone 1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

They'd be morons to run Vance in 2028

Only if the US still has legitimate elections. Guess we'll see during the midterms.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

I didn't say anything about impeachment. What would matter if they did anyway? A presidential impeachment has never ended in consequences. No, they just want have the ability to jam through controversial bills or wars. Congress won't just go along with them.

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

Craftmatic is already working on designs with an integrated Fleshlight.

[–] lechekaflan@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

The ultraconservative cabal behind his back who wants their schemes signed and greenlit. They have to keep their puppet alive.

Because apparently no one in this godforsaken shithole of a country can aim properly.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago

kept alive by the ghost of epstein, and MCDONALds nitrates, and fatansizing about his daughters.

[–] leaky_shower_thought@feddit.nl 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

stress ain't catching up to him

yet

[–] arctanthrope@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

most presidents are affected by stress because they're actually doing the fucking job, not just alternating pep rallies and golf

true. he was more stressed with the epstein files moving forward some time ago.
