Vance tells Sean Hannity that Democratic ‘arsonists’ will reverse Trump’s successes even as he admits his own administration needs more time

JD Vance laid out the Trump administration’s best case for a Republican victory in the midterm elections on Thursday, returning to his role as the White House’s great communicator. But instead of empathizing with Americans’ economic pains and fears about the future, the vice president leaned into fear-mongering about Democrats.

Vance spoke with Fox’s Sean Hannity in an interview that aired Thursday, and leaned into the administration’s successes at driving illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border to 50-year lows as he made the case for the GOP.

As he spoke about the supposed priorities of hypothetical Democratic majorities in the House and Senate, however, Vance claimed that his opponents wanted to block Republicans from ever winning elections again and “transform” America, citing such issues as acceptance of transgender Americans.

he admits his own administration needs more time

You know what? If I was very generous and very naive, I might just buy this narrative.

But here's the thing: his boss promised to lower prices from day one, and that was one of the many hard promises he made that even the most mentally incompetent MAGAt knows full well were flat-out lies by now - if they needed convincing before the election.

Fool me once...

Fool me twice… you cant get fooled again.

That was the dumb fascism era. We're at the pedophile fascism stage now.

We promoted it. Two term dumb is viewed as much more prestigious than just one term dumb.

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago

you still have the dumb and they were already know kid rapists back then

W can die in a fire but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t rather listen to audio of all the stupid shit he ever said on repeat for a year than hear another sentence come out of trumps stupid fucking face again

Dubya was supposed to be the dumbest president ever. Trump is so much worse, and happened so quickly after W’s term. It’s a bit shocking until you realize who actually wields the levers of power in American government: the rich/corporations. They control it all, including for whom we get to “vote” in the first place. POTUS being a useful idiot is quite beneficial for them.

Think how dumb the next president will be!

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago

They keep getting stupider. Maybe with the exception of Poppy Bush. Ronnie Raygun was a dipshit, too. Then W was dumber. And donnie is dumber than that.

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 1 points 21 hours ago

the dipshit may be a stupid motha' but he's got some not-so-stupid, and even more greedy, power hungry, and evil people whispering in his ear, dangling the big mac, and pulling strings when needed, to achieve their goals.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 5 points 21 hours ago

that even the most mentally incompetent MAGAt knows full well were flat-out lies by now

That's putting a LOT of confidence in them that they haven't earned

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 3 points 21 hours ago

"needs more time" to complete the total fascist takeover of the government, complete the upward transfer of wealth leaving the masses with nothing but debt, complete the establishment of the surveillance state, finish shredding of what remains of any rights people have.....

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

If the MAGA crowd critically evaluated his promises he never would have been President, certainly not a second time.

Vance tells Americans not to ‘gripe about all the little things’ as prices soar…

he admits his own administration needs more time

more time behind bars!

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago

What is especially stupid is that in a lot of cases, it is rather hard to point at something an admin has done to raise the cost of everything and make an honest case for that. Though Republicans and reactionary centrists will do it all the time for Democrats.

In the case of this administration they seem to be doing everything possible to do that and it's working.
