Weyland-Yutani actually sent people outside the solar system to other planets and built AI with the self-awareness to develop a moral compass.
In reality, Bezos-Musk keep having rockets blow up because the gooner levers think they're sending people to Mars candy bars. Or something.
That’s a good point. Probably because it’s still a future envisioned by artists so even they cannot imagine or articulate the true brutality of a future capitalist dystopia
