"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

Go see a doctor. Being bitten by animals or humans comes with a high chance of serious medical issues.

“She is still in the hospital”

It's Australia, the hospital system is half decent and often quicker than a doctor

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I don't understand. Are Australian hospitals run by electricians?

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The state governments actually

I can’t complain, our system is pretty good

The state governments are run by electricians? That sounds like a strange system of government.

At least it isn't run by pedophiles

True.
At least they aren't known pedophiles.

Just a basic socialist understanding that hasn't been entirely squeezed out by capitalism yet

People really comment on anything without reading it.

[–] hendrik@palaver.p3x.de 1 points 2 weeks ago

To be fair, it's an honest mistake. It's buried somewhere down in a line of paragraphs which all start with "Manton-Williams said her friend ..." My eyes keep thinking I already read that line and skip to the next one.

I never learned to read

Human bites, yes. Usually animal bites are way less problematic. However, rabbies is something that you usually only get by animal bites.

Rabies, Tetanus, there is a 10-20% infection rate because of all the bacteria in saliva. Some animals have long sharp front teeth (for example cats) which really get the bacteria deep down... General advise is doctor, bites are problematic.
