I have a feeling that Flock will eventually go out of business, everyone will cheer and go home, then a new company will take its place behind closed doors and without the media attention

Flock hate is good and deserved and I don't think most people only care about that one company. Whether it keeps going when flock cams are replaced, who knows. Probably makes it a bit more difficult build a culture resisting all kinds of networked cameras.

Reminds me about a similar movement in Europe over a decade ago where people were taking down all kinds of CCTVs. But I think it's more difficult to get people to something about an now already well established technology.
