I've been confidently told that I was wrong about working all day in the fields when I was in high school, in triple digit temps (F) with extremely high humidity, and not dying.

"But the wet bulb temp.." It's like the LD50. You're way more likely to get heat stroke, but it's not a guarantee.

Thank you! I lived in South Florida as a kid WITHOUT AC and we spent the entire summer all day every day running around out in that awful heat. I'm not saying the heat is good, but acclimatization is a real thing.

This is true. Heat is more deadly in Europe because they have neither aclimization nor air conditioning to escape the heat waves.

Can you tell me the days this should have happened? Because from all searches reaching the wet bulb temperature of 35C was extremely unlikely even 10 years ago with documented cases being thin. https://www.pnas.org/doi/full/10.1073/pnas.0913352107 The "the fast deadly" wet bulb temperature of 37C was never measured it seems
