I scoured that game for secrets. Playing and replaying searching for rumored hidden triforce parts and instead finding all sorts of weird little developer crumbs.
I was an imbecile and read the wiki before playing.
Wikis did not exist yet when I played it lmao
Next game I pick up I need to NOT by any mean search the wiki
Don't act like you didn't read that Nintendo Power strategy guide with the poster inside.
We were too poor. I think the N64 was like the most expensive thing we owned at the time. Couldn't afford no dang magazines. My dad would buy me PC gamer issues for the demo discs though once I had a computer. I still remember getting Half-Life 1 campaign mods from those discs.
I always wanted the monthly ones as a subscription, but I had a handful of them and some of the full game strategy guides. I used to flip through the Super Mario world one a lot to the point that the pages all fell out lol.
I had a friend who was this but for PSX demo discs. He had an empty CD-R package that he'd store them all in lol. Same friend also ended up with a Dreamcast and a million bootlegs for it.
