What’s Jesus playing word games to avoid answering questions with no good questions got to do with patriarchy?
You’ll notice that he didn’t actually answer the question. “Give to ceasars what is ceasars” was a dodge- the question was on paying taxes to Rome.
Saying “no” would get him executed by the Romans.
Saying “yes” would delegitimize him in the eyes of Jews since the Messiah was supposed to rise up, be king, and kick their asses out of Israel, and then, you know, do the whole world domination thing.
Either way it ended with someone killing him, so he gave a non-answer that sounded smart,
That he has a right to claim taxes not determined by the church clearly implies that Caesar is a legitimate leader of his realm. And a secular leader being legitimate implies that the Church is not supposed to be the government, but rules the realm of god or the "spiritual" world.
It's not rocket science, it's all pretty obvious, and has never been questioned in any Christian country. Because despite the self contradictions of the Bible, it is actually pretty clear on this point.

So I ask again: what has any of this to do with patriarchy? Or perhaps it’s too complicated, I should ask instead “what as any of this got to do with with a society ruled by male heads of family units- usually at the clan level and usually the eldest male.”
You’re also imputing an awful lot into a non-answer. The question Jesus was asked, is “was it lawful to pay taxes to Rome”, and that’s a question that has no right answer. Or at least, no answer that doesn’t have people trying to kill him.
In the scripture, Jesus even recognizes this fact. He gave a non answer.
And again if he gave anything but a non answer, he’d have been killed. Either by the Romans or the Jews. Which doesn’t matter… except to say the Jews probably would not have been as torturous about it.
Finally, the concept of paying taxes to the lawful government and tributes to the temple being two different obligations far predated Christianity- probably also Judaism, for that matter.
The question wasn’t about “are secular governments allowed to collect taxes” or even what rates. Ultimately, the question was “is Herod Antipas (the then-king of Judah, who was a client of Rome) legitimate,” (because guess who was paying taxes to Rome.)(also take a guess at who was making a claim to Herod’s throne.)(hint: the messiah was supposed to be a king of line of David…)
It was a brain fart, I meant theocracy, it was a brain fart because theocracy is "præstestyre" in my language. Which patriarchy is closer to in the sound of the word.
No, it's much stupider than that. They take credit for "secular" leaders, too.
