I mean fuck the police and I don't care to defend them but the article literally states they don't know the context. I don't doubt the police will do arbitrary shit, but in this case the narrative is based on nothing, which just makes it random fearmongering.

All the video shows someone being arrested and a bunch of people shouting, we don't actually hear anything as to why he's being arrested.

I've walked that exact street a thousand times, people are carrying and doing weird shit every day, I would be surprised if he's actually being arrested for carrying the bat.

I am pretty angried by this response. Yes, ACAB is 100% true but that doesn't also mean any negative narrative is automatically true either.

truth isnt something you glean by doing the bullshit of "we need more context" which weve seen racists and fash pull over and over and over again in regards to cops killing people and brutalizing marginalized communities

you talk about truth but in my experience assuming the worst of the police, especially those of the western world, has served me well in unveiling the truth in 98% of cases and this will be no diferent

edit: oh look heres a released statement from the pigs. you were wrong to give them the benefit of the doubt the guy committed no crime
