MODERATORS
Not necessarily a negative if a person wants to be productive.
true, but it definitely isn't framed in nicest way for those with disabilities, as aberrant individuals needing to be reintegrated with the rest of society. don't get me wrong, the news is cool as hell, but the framing definitely doesn't feel like a choice someone with a disability would have made :p
this sounds spoken like a very able bodied person.
it's spoken as somebody who's experienced being sick and unable to do anything for a prolonged period of time 🤷
this isn't the same as living your life with a disability. i'm not going to continue the conversation from here, but please do educate yourself as it's not great still seeing such ableism on the left
Not sure what specifically is ableist about sharing personal experience or suggesting that a disabled person might possibly have a desire to be productive, but you do you.
Don't waste your effort - lemmygrad users have been universally ableist as hell in my experience.
They're generally the productivity cult kind of socialist, unfortunately.
that makes them nazbol. a socialist that wants to heroically strive for virile power over underpersons is a contradiction in terms no matter how they organize themselves.
i, too, have seen somewhat of a trend.
