Tbh big wall makes bases defensible at every difficulty.
His turbines, solar panels and batteries are all exposed to raids though, gonna be a big drain on his steel production that you want to try and save for later when you can start crafting flak armor etc. Didn't even separate his batteries in case there's a Zzzzt and they catch fire.
Yeah power outside the base is silly. Is zzzzt still a thing with underground cables? I don't really use batteries much.
