Fear and Loathing is the only movie he's good in. He's another one to the pile of Holywood actors that have no range.
It says a lot about how we view acting that our most famous actors are just moderately attractive people instead of people who are actually good at acting
I think a big part of this is also that Hollywood execs demand predictability, so an actor who always plays the exact same guy is actually the perfect fit for the slop factory.
A lot of it is aesthetics and popularity over talent
You can say that again
"What if the Johnny Depp Character Wig was bald?"
Maybe losing the hair brought out his best?
He's also in Platoon but you would never remember
Ed Wood is also pretty fun iirc
