Yes this is totally because of the countries and not just "poor people eat worse food haha"

Least time I bought baked beans they were $2/can

Here in the UK they're way way less than that, even if you buy fancy. Cheapie tin is £0.28 from my local supermarket for example.

So actually less than 40 cents.
