I know the red-blue button debate and honestly it mainly seems like a sense of framing. Another way to put the dilemma would be
Everyone in the world is given a choice between pressing a red button and a blue button. Everyone in the world makes their own choice and presses one of the two buttons.
Blue button: You Live.
Red button: You live. If more than 50% of the population presses the red button, then everyone who pressed the blue button dies.
The circumstances are exactly the same, the framing has changed. I don't have a twitter so I won't make that meme and even if I had I wouldn't because I know I'd end up in several discussions with ignoramuses about how it's the same.
