I'm rooting for it to eliminate a good part of humanity. 8 billion people is too much, someone has to do something, maybe reduce to 4 billion plus the low birth rate could be the beginning of a golden age. More land, more resources per person, less worry about lack of resources.
Calm down, Thanos.
You do realize that hoping for the death of 4 billion people puts you up there with the worst people in history when it comes to your aspirations?
You do realize the issue is not the billions of people occupying the planet, but the handful controlling the wealth those people create, do you not? If the business interests of the richest people on Earth weren't a factor in decision-making, we could do much better with our 8 billion.
I had conversations with other not wealthy human beings and I can assure you the problem is the humans indeed. Most poor people would change places with Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos and keep doing the very same thing they do without any regret.
I see the riches as the natural human greed being manifested in physical form. There will always be riches or powerful people.
The problem is the humans.
Due to lack of better options, exterminating half of the humanity can be a viable solution. I'd never do that with my bare hands Hitler-like. But if that's a natural disaster that will hit everyone despite wealthy or power, so be it. I'm in the middle of it as well, if it hits me I just lost the game, for the ones surviving in a better world with more space and land and opportunities, I can only say: enjoy it!
Bruh, this comment is worse than Hitler, Stalin, Mao and the One Child Policy combined
I'm not trying to fool anyone. I'm straight up saying the less humans the better.
If I had the means to dizimate half of humanity I'd not do that. But since it's a consequence of natural disaster then it's just nature saying humans are making too much weight on this planet.
Saying someone is worse than literal Hitler is crazy
There would be so much less traffic on my way to work! I bet the lines at theme parks would be a lot shorter, too. Probably wouldn't be a housing crisis anymore.
Only downside is, you know, half of the population of the entire planet dying painfully and the survivors guilt their families would feel after having to watch it. And cheering it on is like, unfathomably cruel. But those are just details.
Thats not gonna happen but to be sustainable it woul have to be way lower. When we first started overshooting what the earth could provide in 1970 we where a bit less than that and we have decimated so much we need to have actual healing take place. We honestly should keep it at a billion and get away from the whole factory farming thing. The fertilizer from oil was in the early 1900's and we were below 2 billion at that point.
If only it was the top 8 millions (Bezos, Musk, ...) we would live much better.
Dude genocide on a morally good scale
Not a genocide. Just a shameful outbreak that happens to hit the top 1%.
Still good
