So you want to deport pensioners and recent immigrants from Israel? Interesting idea, although I think not sufficient.

A lot of them can’t return to their country of origin. Half of Israeli Jews are descendants of Mizrahi that were expelled from Muslim and Arab countries.

Shipping great-grandma off to Odessa while the rest of the family stays behind seems a bit cruel.

There is no just solution to the crimes that have been committed

Agreed. Building a future where no additional crimes are committed is difficult enough.

why Isreali lives should be so much more valuable than Palestianian or Lebanese lives

The difference in number of deaths is largely explained by Israeli military superiority, that also extends to better medical care. Israel has bomb shelters for their whole population. IDF strongly prefers to fight outside their home turf. So you have a superior military force fighting in dense urban environments against an enemy that hides among civilians.

Every country values the lives of their own citizens more than those of the enemy, especially during a war.

The question is why do Hamas and Hezbollah knowingly endanger thousands of their own civilians just for the chance of killing a few Jews?

We can forgive [the Arabs] for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with [the Arabs] when they love their children more than they hate us... — Golda Meir, Israeli Prime Minister

We love death for Allah, like you love life. — Muhammad Deif, Hamas leader

The key to peace is a change of heart on all sides. Without willingness to peacefully coexist by the people in the region, one state for all will fail.

"forcing us to kill their children"

That's villain logic. I have read it before, and thought "maybe there is something I don't understand here" but I am done with that.

If there was an explanation, it would have been made. The founding of Israel was a monstrous crime, born from the casual disregard for brown people. Everything after that is fruit if the poison tree.

Shipping great-grandma off to Odessa while the rest of the family stays behind seems a bit cruel.

Of course it's cruel. If grandma is lucky some of her family will go with her. Remember there are also land reparations being done, so many or most Isreslis that choose to stay will be homeless, and dependant on renting shelter from a Palestinian.

The cruelty is a lesson to the world, don't do settler colonialism.

The question is why do Hamas and Hezbollah knowingly endanger thousands of their own civilians just for the chance of killing a few Jews?

Because they are insurgents fighting an asymetric war. The same way insurgents fight in Myanmar, in Columbia, and countless examples throughout history.

But hiding among civilians and national borders only works as long as your opponent is willing to respect civilians and borders. The IDF clearly does not. The annexations in Syria and Lebanon should be opposed internationally the same way we oppose the Russian annexation of Ukraine.

What annexation in Lebanon?

If Hezbollah would stop shooting rockets into Israel, there would be no IDF in Lebanon. Hezbollah shouldn’t even be anywhere in the south according to UNSC resolution 1703.
