Yes, the ones outside mutual aid are often removed. For what it's worth a single comment spaced out 5 to 10 minutes will keep a post in active sort longer than a single large comment chain made in close succession

I'm really really sorry for causing all those problems, that was definitely not my intention.
Would deleting my account help reduce the strain or would all those comments getting removed only make things worse?
No need to delete your account, it should be fixed in the next patch and any federated instance can remove a singular post that is causing problems.
