they should make it an official lemmy feature tbh.
It's so annoying that's why I support its implementation. In fact I'm going to try some tinkering
I conditionally support it, but as a tradeoff you can no longer use branching replies. Only top level comments and your replies appear in the order they were written at the bottom of the page.
There was a federated BBCode version of Lemmy for a while. No longer maintained unfortunately
