A shadow government and private syndicate operating behind an energy company front probably tried to gestate a grey alien hybrid derived from black oil in a lab down there, but it murdered everyone so they panicked and just covered it up and then built that playground on top of it and gave any kids in the area new bikes to keep quiet about it all.
damn, i gotta watch the x-files movie again.
