Yuritopiaposadism? they repeatedly broke rule 13:

Doctored images, fake social media posts, generated content, and satire/parody that appears real should be clearly marked as fake and/or posted in the designated communities.

its a temp ban though, you can check the general hexbear modlog(link at the bottom of pages) or see it for a specific user by clicking the arrow next to a post/comment of theirs like although this shows moderation actions against a user by any instance and doesn't specify which

Just perma-ban them from serious communities like /c/news and such if they continue it after the ban IMO. Let them continue posting things they're good at without allowing the crankery where it doesn't belong.

I'm glad it's just a short temp ban. I know they posted some fake stuff, but they were also one of the biggest posters of stuff on hexbear. You all need to carry your weight and post more so I have more stuff to read or watch lol.

Are you even a real hexbear if you haven't picked up a few bans?

it would be cool if we made a the-onion style website. writing lies into post titles just isn't the same thing

I'm not disputing that some of the links recently were questionable, but genuine question here, where are the rules for the comm????

[–] ClathrateG@hexbear.net 19 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (1 children)

which comm?

Instance wide ones are at https://hexbear.net/code_of_conduct

Comm specific ones are usually in the sidebar for that comm

[–] Robert_Kennedy_Jr@hexbear.net 6 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

There are no rules posted in the sidebar for this comm.

[–] thelastaxolotl@hexbear.net 21 points 11 hours ago

Some comms have rules, but all are ruled by the Code of Conduct

Though maybe we could do a spell check on anti-natalism lol

Though maybe we could do a spell check on anti-natalism lol

Nope, it's my lasting contribution to this webbed site

When the cephalopods take over, i want them to know I had their backs so they can bring me back to life as a crabman

[–] sneakypersimmon@lemmy.today 12 points 10 hours ago

You know what? Solid logic lol

[–] ClathrateG@hexbear.net 21 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

nah that's about posts being mean to these guys

[–] ghosts@hexbear.net 8 points 10 hours ago

Tbf that should also be a rule, look at that cutie :)

[–] LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins@hexbear.net 3 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

do a spell check

I thought that was an intentional joke

[–] sneakypersimmon@lemmy.today 4 points 8 hours ago

We all gotta learn the in-jokes at some point, I guess lol

I think they were banned for stuff they posted in c/news which does have comm specific rules, but the reason for the ban given in the modlog is breaching the sitewide rule 13
