Seeing how well Hogwarts Legacy did even though most people seem to consider it mediocre, I unfortunately believe it will do quite well.

We're at the point where millions of people think if it's on TV it must be good, what it is doesn't matter. They're illiterate, it's just pictures and sounds on screen

Did it do well? They sold it 80% off months after release?

Unfortunately, it did incredibly well. It made over $1 billion in revenue and is considered one of the best-selling video games of all time.

The generous sales seem to be just how WB Games does things. Batman, Lord of the Rings, etc. games from them were also like $5 barely a year after they came out.

Steamcharts says peak playerbase was half a million on steam alone at launch. Elden Ring had 950k all-time. I'd say that's pretty good for a middling open world.

I think, at best, the first couple of episodes will do well, then the viewership will take a nosedive.
