I'm always surprised when Twitter comments aren't all unhinged extreme-right drivel. Theres some valid responses in there like "whose we?" and "The same reason we don't control who our neighbors let in their houses"

The one singular instance car culture actually did a small positive. I will never understand how they pulled car dominance off. It doesn't scale and makes less sense as time goes on and infrastructure investment increases.
