Can we call these people nazis, or would that also fall under "Oh you people call EVERYONE Nazis"

you can call them nazis, but then you have to be prepared to actually explain to people why this makes them nazis. kind of a "boy who cried wolf" situation on that one.

We do, but when their eyes glaze over you realize they've stopped paying attention

kind of a "boy who cried wolf" situation on that one

Either you don't know what that means or you think we're calling tons of people nazis just haphazardly

you have misunderstood me.

i think the typical u.s. amerikkkan is too ignorant to distinguish between us and liberals. liberal imperialist and fascist imperialists have called everything from liberals to communists "nazis" for the last 70 years; this is ultimately what people mean when they talk about the normal person's lack of response at just calling someone a nazi and moving on. it's not inaccurate, but it still fails to be communicative to the typical u.s. amerikkkan.

Apologies, you're right, I misunderstood you and I do agree with you

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

yeah, no worries

Nah. The nazi accusations have been very appropriate. You xguys want to call it defangement syndrome but it was justified

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

i am not saying the accusation is inappropriate. i am saying that liberals have overused the term in their marked political illiteracy.

then you have to be prepared to actually explain to people why this makes them nazis

"they are gleefully waging a genocidal war against an innocent populace in the name of their white supremacist ideology" is gonna be enough for most people

you could fit it on a button, even.

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

i agree, but you still gotta explain that to normal people who avoid learning about politics.

"their first action was to double tap an elementary school" should really be enough

[–] Kuori@hexbear.net 6 points 1 week ago

buddy you can't stop me from explaining this to normal people who avoid learning about politics

I think the real "boy who cried wolf" situation happened back in 2016 with how Hillary supporters called Bernie bros racist and sexist which made those attacks completely ineffective against Trump and his actual racist supporters

Of course liberals are doing the same fucking thing with that stupid election in Texas now
