🟢 BREAKING | An international coalition of activists, trade unionists, and humanitarian groups is preparing to sail next month with food, medicine, and essential supplies to Cuba, seeking to break the intensifying U.S. siege of the island.
Organizers of the “Nuestra América Flotilla” say tightened U.S. measures have blocked fuel imports, grounded flights, triggered rolling blackouts, and severely strained hospitals and critical infrastructure nationwide.
Inspired by the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza, the mission is backed by figures including UK MP Jeremy Corbyn and former Barcelona mayor Ada Colau. “Last year we sailed to Gaza to challenge a blockade that was starving civilians. Today we are preparing to sail to Cuba for the same reason: break the siege, bring food and medicine,” said organizer David Adler.
"The Trump Administration is strangling the Cuban people, cutting off fuel, flights, and critical supplies necessary for survival,” Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who is endorsing the mission, told Drop Site News. “This policy of cruelty does not speak for the people of the United States.

As an american... Dude the people here are domesticated slop eaters. I lost all hope for the american people the moment trump won the popular vote and i was probably naive to hold out that long. The vast majority of americans will never notice what they are.
It should be remembered however that the vast majority of eligible voters didn't vote for Trump, and that most just don't vote at all. Likely out of apathy and hopelessness.
Youre not wrong but those are people who cant even muster the resistance to even check a ballot... Domesticated or broken, whatever they are i dont have any hope for them.
Tbf we usually don't view voting as a "real" form of resistance. If it was for the PSL candidate en masse sure, but the likely 2nd choice last time was Fem Biden.
i voted third party myself. Kamala sucks, the dems suck too. I totally get you on fem biden.
Let me try to put it a different way because i think youre missing what i mean because whether americans see voting as resistance or not is really irrelevant to what I'm trying to get at or at leadt i think it is. Might be better for me to put it like. In order to resist there needs to be a way of organizing people for that resistance. Organizing is hard, especially when people dont want to participate. (you and i could probably agree that this is because americans are overworked tired and jaded by liberal betryal and leftist failure) but reguardless thats what is needed. The easier way to organize people politically is a vote. And we can't get most people even do that. Organizing any kind of restistance past that seems like something the americans of today could never be ready for.
Genuinely just trying to explain myself better. Im autistic and a little high if my comment comes off rude i apologize.
I see what you're getting at dw, no hostility taken or intended. I guess my hope is, with worsening material conditions that are harder and harder to ignore, that maybe that'll push people to act.
Glad you get me 👈😎
Yeah i hope it happens too just dont think it will.
