I'm watching this show. I'm not a big fan or anything, but I like peasants and middle ages stuff. I could do without all the silly names and magic, but we don't get many high production medieval media anymore. Anyway, I feel the show was edited to be released all at once on HBO Max but someone decided to put it out weekly. Infuriating. They've gone through maybe 2 story beats in 5 eps. Just let me binge my slop.

The short story it's based off is much shorter than you probably think. About 30K~ words. I'm sure it feels that way not because it was designed to be released all at once, but because the original story was not really written to support a HBO drama.
