Had Framework dared to make the 16 just a bit thiccer, it would already have community-made mechanical keyboard modules. It could have had a hot-swappable battery.
They should have left the Mac-form-factor-chasing to the 13, and gone full Thinkpad circa 2010 with the 16. If you're going to go modular, go modular
There really is no reason to go ultraslim or lightweight. If you're picking up a screen that's more than 12 inches across, you'll be holding it up with both hands, and you'll be putting it in its own pouch instead of a pocket. There is no use case that mandates a 0.5" thickness limit where a 1.25" thickness would not work.
