Oh jeez, imagine kids gets like a mandatory brain implant as a medical procedure that parents can just "authorize", like recommended by psychaitrist and all, to "correct behavioral problems" then parents installing an "obedience" program that bends the kids will to comply with parent's demands...

Like sometimes, I have this weird paranoia and like I'd wonder if there was a covered up traumatic memory of even worse abuse that my mom somehow deleted my memory of so that I don't remember resenting her even more than I currently do.
There's a good cyberpunk story in that premise.
Patents should need a license to have children, and children should have way stronger rights and autonomy.
