i don't get it either. the traditional wallet design has been around for centuries. holds an assortment of shit of various sizes. bank cards, id cards, business cards, paper bills, and priority papers like checks, notes. i dont carry all that shit all the time and keep my wallet paired down to the essentials, but it can accomodate all of those things easily.
an ideal wallet is sized to the pocket i put it in, because thats where it lives. its essentially a nest of pockets that is sized to fit into a garment pocket.
these new wallets are sized to a accomodate a specific sized item, which was itself originally sized to accomodate wallets. it seems like ass-backward design. ive thought about trying one out for a bit just to see, but they seem pretty overpriced for what they are. and they'd be loose in my pocket, because they're awkwardly sized compared to any pocket i would put it in.
