This made me irrationally angry. Or maybe rationally angry. I can't tell anymore.
He's only ever seen the word when it's preceded by "drive-” and that's how fast food places have decided to spell it.
Meh, it's Twitter and English desperately needs a spelling reform. Kinda similar to how Hitler abolished Gothic print / black letter.
Thats how Americans think through is spelt. Its even in their dictionary!
I'm a American and never seen it spelt that way, it's always been through... did som research looks like it came from Scottish english

It... Really isn't though? It is used on government road signage in the US. Its in the US dictionary and has been for decades.

Yes, defined as non-standard. It may be time for you to look into abbreviations and why they exist.
