I feel like Rachel Maddow said “follow the money” enough times that one of the libs would do exactly that.

Trump is ultimately loyal to himself, above even his horrible children. He will do anything to stay out of prison. Succeeding that, he will do anything to personally enrich himself. Succeeding that he will go on to satisfy his more base, carnal urges. That is the hierarchy of the man.

However, no country could or would give as much to Donald Trump as this stupid country has. This is the nursery of idiocy that incubated him. Does that mean he has loyalty to the United States? No, it just means he’s comfortable here, and he realizes this is the place that gives him the most. He knows it. He’s like “ha ha build my dying body a ball room, you idiots” and it happens. Motherfucker tries to overthrow the government and they just shrug at him and tell him not to do it again. Putin could literally do the homophobic liberal fantasy of sucking his putrid fucking cock and he would be receiving no better treatment in Russia than he already fucking gets here.

If he’s satisfied the morons in his orbit can pursue whatever pet project of imperialism and he will love it all. He’s just not smart enough to think of it all himself. But he will sign off on it and love it and approve of it and gloat about it.
