Unlike the barrage of hate below, I actually don’t dislike Black — but I’m still glad this didn’t work out because Jason Lee has a perfect voice/delivery for animation. Surprised he hasn’t done more of it.
I still liked him up until the point he suspended Tenacious D over Gass' birthday wish. They're a rock band, of course they're supposed to say and do controversial shit! Black backed out of it just to save his Hollywood prospects and I find that cold and calculating of him.

I can’t blame you there. I kind of forgot about that but it was shitty.
Wow. I’ve seen that movie 300+ times and never realized that was Lee.
I was OBSESSED with Kevin Smith movies around that time and loved that “our guy” was getting such a huge opportunity.
The amount of pathetic virtue signalling from people who almost certainly liked x person before they fell out of grace is really gross.
