I don't think people have any business doing stuff like this, idk, if one species is out competing another, that's literally just how life and evolution work
From those who harbor insane amounts of malthusian brain worms it's... Ironic? Idk very silly to say the least. Unless it's been an invasive species, I'm not seeing the validity in a mass culling.
Turns out they are an invasive species (due to climate change). It can be helpful to read the article even if it's from a rag like the New York Post.
