Almost like the project has nothing to do with Judaism

the Jewish tribes in the bible killed people because they were a different religion. it's actually quite on brand.

You are talking about ancient history, early in the age of adventurer-conquerors. Judaism, and the rest of the world, have moved on since then. That is why Jews no longer keep chattel slaves, stone women for adultery, or offer animal sacrifices.
