Yes there is a whole genre known as “”״זורה ובוכה which means literally “Shoot and Cry.”
Basically the plot of the movie Deer Hunter (1978).
a movie that was apparently controversial for its time, because while it did show the vietnamese as inhuman monsters and the whites as good heroes, it did criticize the war in general because when the americans chose to go there some of them ended up wounded and dead which is bad
the movie was so racist, the few Vietnamese that had lines were sadistic. The film was entirely from the POV of US Imperialism. If the only criticism of the War, is that Americans went there and got wounded and died, it's not much of a criticism. It's like saying the Genocide in Gaza was bad, because some IDF soldiers got wounded and killed.
