I think making shit up is actually a decent path to making a lot of money. Musk, this guy, or even theranos. Holmes only went to jail bc she faked actually making the thing. It's all bullshit top to bottom. Just look at fucking Bitcoin. Zero embodied labor, zero real world use case, doesn't create efficiencies, just a waste of resources and time. And one is worth as much as a tractor because reasons.

I was listening to Yanis Varoufakis talk about how the new data/cloud capital untethered from the physical “means of production” in our modern era. I don’t know if I fully agree with his take but it’s very interesting. But it’s definitely more stuff in the vein of what we’re grinding our axes over lol

The maddening thing with AI is there is no good outcome. Either it works and a shitload of currently employed people lose their jobs, or it's a dud and the market collapses. There's no winning for the worker.
Ultimately no winning for the state, either. Unless they're willing to murder 100s of millions. And well, they probably are.
They'll just put everyone on the dole. But it will be the meagerest most miserable existence possible.
