"Taken over" is a weird way to phrase it. The hosts of the podcast went from being left liberals (Dasha is the populariser of the concept of "Worms in their brains" in online discourse, using it to describe people who opposed medicare for all) in the chapo orbit and personal friends with a lot of those people to foaming at the mouth fascists.
