Once upon a time, a few individuals had (or copied, or stole) a few interesting and/or feasible ideas, then they migrated from around the country's universities into Silicon Valley. There, they were told via an insane spigot of money that they were "god's gift to humanity" or some such bullshit.

These individuals, already flawed like all humans, believed their own hype, became "tech bros", and attracted other mediocre assholes, like a plague descending upon an already ruthless Silicon Valley industry. Right around this time, no coincidence, the red pill started being passed around more openly every goddamned day.

Already corrupted in this way, and getting worse every day, it's as if they were self-importantly pondering what their "next big thing" was going to be... "We're supposed to be the geniuses! Investment capital is counting on us!"... then lo and behold, they found something! Up their own ass! And it sucks! Because these distorted tech bro assholes lost the true plot long ago.
