So an unarmed guy says to two people, "I taking the cash and tying you up" and they just comply? Unless he was a huge burly guy, there are two of you, one bashes his head while he tries to tie up the other. Sure the money is replaceable, but being tied up means you can't defend yourself against what he could do next.

Just because he’s not showing me a weapon doesn’t mean he doesn’t have one. Also, I work for Disney. They probably have a policy that says “comply with anyone trying to rob the place,” and even if they didn’t they are insured. None of that money is my money so fuck it.

They probably have a policy that says “comply with anyone trying to rob the place,” and even if they didn’t they are insured.

This is the reason why. Follow policy and keep your job; violate it and get fired. Also, sounds like they were there just to rob the place - not really much danger unless you resist.

Let's do the numbers: Say they got away with double the top end amount (so $40,000). Given how much the park makes in a single day, and consider the extra money other parts of Disney make each day. Divide by how much of (just that one restaurant's business) each day is on electronic payments. Carry the one, aaand . . . it's way less than a rounding error.

Fair. I wouldn't car about the cash. But you aren't tying me up without a fight, weapon or not. Unless we prearranged the tie up :)

Okay but the thief was probably at least very fit, and 'dashing thief' is automatically +10 hotness

I'm just saying–knowing nothing else about the person, my personal scales tip towards 'yes please'

You gonna die for the mouse?

You gonna risk a broken knuckle from punching someone for the mouse?–didn't think so. But you do want to keep your job. So you agree to be subdued.

No, as explained earlier, if you are tied up by an assailant, you are now at their mercy, has 0 to do with work

So. You choose to hurt yourself for the mouse–at bare minimum you fuck your hand up, maybe you fucking die.

Or you let the professional stranger whos clearly in a hurry–the one who has an escape plan–and just asked where the money is tie you up with your co-workers. There's no third option. You're internet poisoned.
