We are not too fucked I would say even if the feds successfully tag this guy as leftist an-tee-fah. People don't give a shit about Kirk, the normal reaction™ to his death was "who? Oh he was a trump guy? cool."
Seems like a lot of people already believe the fix is in with the investigation too, and don't care what the FBI says. A surprising amount of non online libs I talked to believed the Crooks assassination attempt on Trump was a total set up, and think this Kirk one is also fake/orchestrated (which I think is hilarious because Kirk is definitely dead af) The point is the USA is truly polarized and the population is disconnected and doesn't trust "the regime" and those seen as connected to it like they used to.
Though this is situation in LibLand, if you live in Chud Territory they're probably taking it worse, but I think most are lazy and will expect the feds to handle it. No idea what that could look like with Trump. Though I'm skeptical how much a crackdown on the American left would affect popular opposition anyway since it's so disorganized. Feel like if anything happens they'll just be throwing a bunch of flimsy charges at Hasan or New York DSA or something stupid like that.
guess now it'll boil down to whatever the office says it to be. i don't trust twitter's outlook on anything political cause over half of their traffic are bots but offline nobody really gives a fuck. although i doubt that absolutely nothing will arise from this. the case is too public and the opportunity is too big for it to go to waste.
I think the issue is more about those Trumpers getting riled up. Maybe the state doesn't give a fuck, but it only takes a Trumper to shoot a leftist personality, an Anti-ICE rally, or just go on a rampage against latinos, and shit will continue to hit the fan.
