Trump got the NRA to come out and oppose his proposal of banning trans people from owning guns.

Trump during a campaign rally in NC last year:
"You see I'm talking about cutting taxes and people go like that (small clap), I talk about transgender everybody goes crazy! Who would've thought? 5 years ago you didn't know what the hell it was!"
Not that it matters because he is passing anti-trans legislation and is surrounded by transphobic fascists, but it is interesting how he basically just doesn't care.
