Sam Altman's job is to hype GPT-5 so the VCs will still put up with him burning probably the biggest pile of money anyone has ever burned. He's probably damaged the internet and the environment more than any single individual ever, terrorized people about their jobs for years. And he almost certainly knows it's all bullshit, making him a fraud. In a just world, he would be in prison when this is all over. He would almost certainly face the death penalty in China.
