The real DEI was when they let some woke artist design dragonite after stealing it right out of the hands of based Atsuko Nishida (who designed dratini and dragonair)

Why does dragonite look like a stupid orange Barney dragon instead of a beautiful blue serpentine dragon? And why does its shiny suck ass? That's right, it's because of woke.

Ok i know your making a joke but isn't there a theory that Dragonair was originally supposed to evolve into Gyarydos, and they switched it?

Nah that was just someone unfamiliar with eastern mythology. In Chinese (and later Japanese) mythology, there are serpentine dragons who come from humble carp/koi who possess the determination to swim up a waterfall.

They switched and dropped a few evos around during development, if i remember right blastoise was going to be from a diffent evolution line from squirtle-wartortle starters

And i think kangaskhan had a pre evolution

I think i know that one it's Cubone. Cubone was supposed to be a baby one that's parent died.
